With Thanksgiving around the corner, I thought you might like a simple and easy recipe for homemade butter. Perfect to serve with your rolls or add some to your mashed potatoes (my favorite!). Let’s face it, everything tastes better with butter. 😉
This is the basic recipe, but you can get creative. Add cinnamon or herbs into the mixture for a yummy surprise!
Plus, if you have smaller children, they love to take turns shaking the jar. I used to have a contest with my children to see whose jar would turn to butter first. Good times!
Heavy whipping cream
Put the heavy whipping cream into a glass with a lid tightly secured. Shake the jar for 10-15 minutes or until it turns into butter. Add salt as desired and refrigerate.
