Have You Ever Visited Amish Country, Ohio? By Michelle Dawn

Hello readers!

Don’t you just love Amish photos? I’m so blessed to live in Ohio, right in the heart of Amish Country. And I’m thrilled that I get to share these photos with all of you. Have you ever visited Ohio? Leave a comment and let me know!

Typical scene from my day: life in the slow lane.

I always support my local farmers. Nothing compares to homegrown!

This is our friend’s buggy. Have you ever ridden in a buggy? 😉

  1. I have never been to the Ohio Amish communities in person but love to visit there through Christian authors fiction books!! Keep the great books coming, please.
Your pictures were delightful. I live in N Iowa.

  2. We love going there. Our daughter and I go there once a year and then my hubby and I go in October to get fresh apples and drink fresh apple cider

  3. Hi, Michelle!

Lots of nice farm country in Ohio. We’ve stayed with some former-Amish friends (Yoders) in Mansfield, have driven through Holmes County, and have visited and stayed in Ashland, Ohio, where we toured MAP (Mission to Amish People) ministries, spent time with Joe and Esther Keim, and have attended Amish Awareness conferences. We always enjoy our time in Ohio Amish Country and I’m looking forward to the day we can spend some time in Holmes County.

I am also blessed to live in Southeastern Indiana Amish Country – in a former Amish home, no less. To me, it never gets old.

  4. YES. We have been to Charm Ohio and stayed at a beautiful B & B there, I had one of my photos published on the cover of Ohio Amish Country magazine last year. We had dinner with 8 Amish maiden ladies one night and that was a hoot to hear their stories. They work; have their own homes and love the single life. We ate dinner another night in an Amish home and afterwards played games with them. I bought an authentic Amish quilt in Sugar Creek and love Anna, the store owner. My sister bought one from her the next time we were there. I much prefer Holmes County to Lancaster PA.
