I’ve always thought the story of Isaac and Rebekah from the Holy Bible seemed sweet and romantic. Although they were virtually strangers, they seemed to have an instant connection or ‘love at first sight,’ if you will. Later on in their Biblical story, there is an instance where they are caught ‘sporting.’ That always made me smile. They loved each other and they couldn’t hide it.
An Amish Reward was a delightful story to write and is probably one of the most light-hearted books I have written to date. Isaac and Becky, of course, are the protagonists in this love story. (And then there are the unexpected characters that show up on the page and try to steal the show!) I hope this book blesses you and makes you smile.
Different Amish Fiction
Isaac King is content as he is—single and without complications of the female kind. So when his father approaches him with the outlandish idea of finding him a wife, Isaac is naturally hesitant. But as his father explains his intentions and his well-thought-out plans, Isaac eventually yields to his father’s wishes. Will his acceptance be his greatest blessing? Or will it be the worst decision of his life?
Becky Lehman has always been a faithful Amish woman. With the years quickly passing, she worries that she won’t find a suitable mate and be destined to alt maedel hood. But she doesn’t want to marry just anybody, she wants Der Herr’s will. She has almost given up hope until a stranger comes to town with an unusual proposition. Could his appearance be of Gott, like he claims?
A sweet Christian romance about finding God’s will for your life. Amish fiction fans are sure to love this heart-warming story inspired by Isaac and Rebekah from the Bible.
